Ant came home tonight and asked us, "what do you guys think of me getting a job at Rio Ranch? It'll be seasonal. I'll be picking up apples and helping keep things clean. Shane Aunt is head of hiring and they are looking for HS students."

Good one God, you got me!
I've been studying Unglued by Lysa Terkeurst. It's teaching me how NOT to become unglued in stressful situations and how to handle it "God's Way."

Another Delayna-ism
Ant found a hat of my mom's and Dee brought it out wearing it. I asked her to let me try it on & see what I look like. I try it on and Jose says, "naw, it doesn't look good." I replied, "I must look ugly."
Delayna said, "Mama, you don't look ugly, the hat does not you."

Kids say the darndest...Delayna
We just picked up Adi's friend Cynthia and are all heading to the movies.
Cynthia complemented Delayna's shoes and said, "I like your shoes."
Delayna came back with, "I know, there pretty."
Oh my goodness, we laughed soooo hard! The innocent mind of the child.

And my gum
Last night I was putting the littles to bed. We were in Delayna's bedroom saying prayers. When I got done Delayna said to me, "Mama, a pwayers my gum!" So we closed our eyes & thanked Jesus for her gum we bought her earlier in the day. Then she said, "Mama, a pwayers sissy's gum." So of course we had to say prayers for sissy's gum too.
Sometimes, through all the exhaustion, these kids make me so full of joy!

Wall*E Does It!
Dominic has got to be THEE cutest little boy I know! Seriously & not just because he is mine.
Today, Allan & Shelli came over to get a tile saw from my Honey. Dominic put on the movie Wall*E and Allan & I were talking about it. Allan had never seen it, so I was explaining the movie and the story line to him.
Later we go outside to get him the tile saw and Dominic finds a fire extinguisher we have in the garage. He is messing with it while I was helping Allan pull all the stuff surrounding the saw out. We both carry it to his truck, I turn around and I see Dominic holding this fire extinguisher in his hand trying to 'spray' it.
I asked him, "Mijo, what are you doing?"
He tells me, "I'm trying to spray it Mama."
Me~"Why do you want to spray it, it's dangerous and could make you sick or get in your eyes."
Dom~"Well Mama, Wall*E does it and he flies."
Me, trying to contain my exposure and not bust up laughing, "Dominic, Wall*E is a robot, he's in outer space and it's just a movie. You can't spray that and go flying."
Dom~"But Mama, Wall*E flies, I want to fly all around like him too."
After about 10 mins of repetitive explanation, he finally gave up the fight and said...
"Fine, you take it, you spray it, and you go flying by yourself!"
He's such a character!

Me: "Sure, you go first"
So we were playing along and it was my turn. I said, "I spy with my little eye something green and pokey." (referring to some palm trees)
Dom~"Those twees ovah dewr?" (referring to the pine trees)
Me~"No, but your close."
Dom~ Lifting up his sweat shirt looking at his tee shirt, "Mama, my clothes awen't gween & pokey."
He miss understood me saying "he was close" to "his clothes"!

The sun is fighting with the moon
On our way home tonight from Costco, I pointed out the HUGE BRIGHT moon in the sky.
Adriana asked me why it was so bright. I of course had no idea, but Dominic did!
Dominic chimed in..."It's because the sun is fighting with the moon. He wants to stay up late, because it's Fwiday." Oh wait there's more..."And if the sun wins mama, it will be daytime."
Bwahahahahahahahahaha!

Bed Time Story
I was getting Dominic & Delayna ready for bed tonight and reading them a new book we got. It is a Nemo book about him going to school, perfect with school starting next week.
Well, I was reading where Mr. Ray asks Nemo where he lives, and in the book Nemo answers 2 times. When I was reading, I was really messing up, because I know how to say it, but reading it is, well a bit more tricky.
While I was attempting to pronounce ANEMONE, Dominic shouts out...
"Ok, Ok, Don't Hurt Yourself."
OMG, Adriana & I busted up laughing. I could not get my composure back to finish the book.
Here is the clip from the movie if you haven't seen it or don't remember...
Now just picture my little Domi saying this to me!

Well, I was playing around on the computer & thought I would look up the skit & show it to Dominic & record him.

Tatanka
This morning Anthony had Sectional Tournament Games (I know, nothing to do with this title post, but give me a minute.). So I had to get him up and ready before 7am and head out to Hemet.
While driving into Hemet we were noticing all of the new housing developments that have been built. He pointed out a section of land and said, "Hey mom, isn't that where the farm place was?" I said, "Yeah, the one that sold the fruit & vegis." He chimed in "And eggs".
Then I realized that on the other side of the street just a bit up was where they had Buffaloes every year.
I started to tell Anthony that everytime we would drive by the buffaloes, Jose would re-inact the scene from "Dances With Wolves" where Lt. Dunbar meets with the Sioux tribe council and he is trying to tell them that he knows where buffalo are. Well, he is acting out a buffalo and Kicking Bird puts his hands up to his head like horns and says, "TATANKA, TATANKA".
Well Jose would always put his hands up with the horns and say "TATANKA, TATANKA".

New Years Day & The Fam...
Yesterday my nephew & his fiance came up to visit and wanted us to all GTG to play games and spend time together.
So after we got our house cleaned and done we headed over to James & Gail's house to play some games and hang out.
Well, when we got there James & Mark were drinking Yegger Bombs (Jagermeister & Energy Drink).
We all started playing spoons, and so much for that. James & Mark kinda got side tracked. They were stinken hilarious!!!
I went over and got on the computer to look something up for Mark, and ended up looking up a song for James.
He was CARACKING us up!!!!!!
Here is the song, it's Ram Jam~Black Betty
Gail video'd James dancing and singing to it (I will try to get a copy). I seriously was laughing so hard I was about to pee my pants. James is a nut when he's not drinking, but he was even funnier while he was drinking!
Our night was full of fun! We tried playing Pictionary and that didn't last. We all just kept getting distracted.
Jose, the kids and I finally left around 1:15am and got home. Put the kids to bed and Jose & I watched some of Gladiator.
We finally fell asleep around 2am. It was a great time though!!!

Dominic says the darndest things!
This post is SO overdue, but I have just been sidetracked with other things.
Friday night, Dominic went over to the Christmas tree and pulled a present out from underneath. He asked me, "Mama, this is sissy's?"
I told him, "Yes mijo, it's sissy's."
So he took the present to sissy and told her, "Here sissy, this present is for you."
She told him, "Oh, thank you bits, go put it back, sissy will open it up on Christmas."
He did not like that, he told her, "No, open it now, it's a Littlest Pet Shop thing."
UGH!
Oh, and he didn't stop!
He continued to tell her, "Mama bought you two littlest pet shop games, and a holder for your new computer game."
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!
I told him, "OK, Dominic that is enough! Stop telling sissy what she got!"
So Anthony chimes in, "Dominic, what did mama get me?"
Of course Dominic replies, "Two new playstation games."
Anthony asks, "What kind?"
Dominic says, "One gun one and a football one."
OMG, this kid!!!
He is totally telling them what they got for Christmas!!!
So Saturday comes and Devin spends the night.
Oh yes, Dominic walks over to the Christmas Tree and tells Devin, "Here Devin, this is your Christmas present from my mom, it's a Dora game for your book toy."
I am going to duck tape this kids mouth until Christmas Day!!!!

Easy Mama Easy
Dominic & I were driving the other day and I guess I was going fast and trying to get to our destination on time.
He tells me, "easy Mama easy."
I said, "What?"
So he repeated it and I asked him, "Where did you get that from?"
He said, "from papa, he tells us that."
That kid is SO funny!!!!

A day at the Dr's office with the Herrera Boys
Friday I had to take Anthony in to the Dr.
His chest bone has been protruding and getting worse. Jose was REALLY worried about him and what was going on.
So I called Thursday and the only day they could get me in was on Friday (which was the day of Vicky's memorial & I had to miss it), or I had to wait until January.
So Dominic and I get ready and go pick up Anthony from his school. While we are waiting (like 15 mins!), Dominic is just being a goof and entertaining the staff & I.
We head to the Dr's and Dominic realizes which office we are going to and starts screaming,
"Mama, we can go in the alligator!?!" I know what it means, but Ant looks at me like, "what is this kid talking about?"
So I told Dominic, "Well, ask 'Bobo' and see if he wants to go in the alligator."
Dominic asks Ant and Ant replies, "What is the alligator?"
So, I told Dominic, "We'll go in and surprise Bobo what the alligator is."
Well, anyone that has kept up with my blog knows, the alligator is the ELEVATOR at the Dr's office.
We go into the building and Dominic shows Bobo what the alligator is and asks him if he wants to go in. Of course we do and Anthony starts busting a gut when he realizes that the alligator was the elevator.
We go up and I go to check Ant in. Dominic & Anthony walk off and I look over to see Dominic standing in front of the Women's bathroom. I ask him, "Dominic, what are you doing? Why are you standing here?"
He answers, "Because Bobo is in there." I said, "WHAT, why is your brother in there?!?!"
I open the door and yell, "Anthony?"
Oh yes, the boy answered me!!! He was in the Woman's bathroom, in a stall getting ready to go to the bathroom.
He replies, "What!?" Like I was in the wrong bathroom and he was baffled that I was in there.
I tell him, "Your in the Women's bathroom."
He didn't believe me and started to argue and laugh at the same time. Then he comes out of the stall to see me standing there pointing to the sign on the door.
"Yes son, your in the Women's bathroom!"
We were ROLLING!!!!
He quickly came out and went into the Men's.
After we get called back to the office, we are in there talking and Dominic is playing with a really cool puzzle that was in the office. I asked him to name the items in the puzzle.
So he started to name them off and picks up the helicopter and calls it a "HELOCLOPTO".
Anthony & I started busting up laughing the way he was pronouncing it.
Lately Dominic has been really using his tongue to pronounce his "L's" and calling it a "heloclopto" was just hillarious!
Dominic didn't find it very funny and started to get mad at Anthony for laughing.
So Dominic walked over to Anthony, who was laying on the table laughing, climbed up onto the step and...
WHAM! He hit him as hard as he could in his private!
I was laughing SO hard that I had to hide my face. I wanted Dominic to know that it wasn't ok to hit his brother there, but the way it all happened was so funny that I couldn't help but laugh while my poor son is curled up rolling on the table.
I finally compose myself and talk to Dom and tell him he needs to appologize to his Bobo.
He walked back over to the table and Anthony sat up to see him, and Dominic jumps up and...
WHAM! Dominic's head bonks Ant right in the nose!
We finally got the appologies out, but man, was I hurting from laughing so hard! While poor Anthony is dying in pain.
After we get through the painful appologies, Anthony is telling me how hungry he is and wants to go eat. He calls Dominic over and tells him in his ear to come ask me something.
Dominic comes over and is saying something about "Juno". I am trying to decifer what he is trying to say regarding "Juno". I know that boy has NEVER seen that movie!
He says, "Mama, Bobo wants Cardos Juno!" Then I finally figure out what he is saying...
"Bobo wants Carl's Jr." ROFLMBO!!!!!!
Finally the Dr comes in to check Ant out and is having him do the typical breathing excercises.
She tells him to breath in, breath out.
We hear this really heavy breathing and look over at Dom and he is breathing in and out with Anthony.
We all start busting up laughing!
So after about 1 1/2 hours of comedy, we find out that Anthony's sternom is growing outward instead of together (go figure, Dom's grows in & we were EXTREMELY worried when he was a baby that it would eventually puncture his lungs).
He is fine, he will just have a "well defined chest" as he gets older and works his pecs out.
All in all, everything is good and we got a great hour or so of comedy!!!

Wanna Make A Bet?
Last night Jose had a softball game at 9pm. So after Adriana's practice we went home, I got Dominic showered and ready for bed.
Well, since Anthony went with Jose, Dominic refused to go in his bed.
So I let him lay in bed with me and relax until I decided to go to sleep.
Well, I grabbed the jar of M&M's that is on my night stand, and was eating a few. I told him he could have just a few also.
He asked me, "Mama, wanna make a bet?"
I replied, "What does that mean?"
He said, "You close your eyes and open your mouth and I will put a nema-nem in your mouth and that's a bet."
I said, "OK, but who taught you this?"
His reply was, "Sissy"
So, I closed my eyes, opened my mouth and he put the 'nema-nem' in my mouth.
A few minutes later he asked me, "Mama, wanna make a bet to me?"
So I of course said, "Sure."
He closed his eyes, I put the M&M in his mouth and he said,
"See, now that's a bet!"

Can I go in the alligator, Mama?
Dominic and I went to my Dr's appt today. While I was driving there, we went by Beaver and he yells, "Mama, where you going?"
So I told him, "To my Dr." He replied, "Your Dr. not here, your Dr. over there." Pointing to the "old" Beaver building. Continuing to explain to me that his Dr. is in this building (the 'new' Beaver building.)
So as I continued to drive and explain to him that I do go to the Dr here, thinking that maybe because he hasn't gone with me to this one, only the Redlands office, that he was confused.
As I am pulling in, he begins to argue with me again that, "Mama, this NOT your Dr. my Dr. is here, your Dr. over there!"
I told him, "No Dominic, Mama comes here to."
He finally accepted that mama does go to the Dr where he goes to the Dr. So he asked,
"We'yell, can we go in the alligator then?"
I asked, "The alligator?"
He said, "Yes Mama, the alligator that takes you up, up, up to my Doctors."
*ROLLING!* He meant the ELEVATOR!!!
After I got over the initial burst of giggles, without trying to make him feel bad that he pronounced it wrong, I told him, "Yes mijo, we can go in the alligator."
Well, as I was parking, I realized...
This isn't where my Dr's office is...DUH! It is in the building, next door, where Dominic said it was!
UGH, I think I need some much needed sleep.
So, I told him, "Dominic, you were right, Mama's Dr isn't here it is in the other building."
Of course he replied, "See I teld you Mama. We go there before."
While we were in the Dr's office waiting, we were talking about his dentist appt that he has tomorrow. Well, he is insisting that he goes in the alligator...LOL

Cracking up at myself!
So, while I was in the shower tonight, I was coming to a realization of something I swore I would never do.
When I had my first son, 12 1/2 years ago, I swore I would NEVER breastfeed, cloth diaper, baby wear or co-sleep.
When I had my daughter 9 1/2 years ago I swore I would NEVER cloth diaper or co-sleep & became a breastfeeding, baby wearing mama.
When I had my son 3 1/2 years ago I swore I would never cloth diaper & became a breastfeeding, baby wearing & co-sleeping mama.
Well now, getting ready to have my 4th, I am realizing that I am not only going to be a breastfeeding, baby wearing, and co-sleeping mama, but CLOTH DIAPERING TOO!
GAH!!!!
I think it is hilarious that through my years of being a mama & growing into a 'woman' & not just a mom, how much of these tasks I really do enjoy.
