OH YEAH! HA HA HA
Really, Mr. Herrera has ALWAY'S been Mr. Fit! He used to work out like a crazed lunatic back in the days, we would lift weights together, workout together, etc. He was ALWAYS more fit then me! I mean ALWAYS!!!
Well, just recently I started working out on the Gazelle that I was blessed with. And while doing the Gazelle, I started doing crunches, ball lift things and other ab exercises. Tonight I was doing them and Jose commented that he wants to start working out again. So I challenged him to get down on the floor and do what I was doing.
He did, but he was struggling! Is it bad that I find pleasure in my skinny, fit, construction husband not being able to keep up with the core exercises that I'm doing? I'd like to think it's not all that bad ;-)
So, after showing him up, my daughter thought she could show me up, but was proven WRONG! HA!
I've still got a LONG road ahead of me to get physically (spiritually & mentally) where I want NEED to be. But to see that I just outdid someone I'd NEVER thought I'd outdo, it gave me a push and made me feel good...OKAY, I'll admit it...IT MADE ME FEEL GREAT! HA!!!!
On that note, I was browsing around on Sparkpeople.com. I joined on there back in 2008 when I was working at the gym. I found my first weigh in stats. I am truly proud to say that from 2008, and after having a baby, I am down 23lbs! 2" off of my waist and thighs. Not where I want to be, again, but on the road to my 'Destination' (I've stolen that word from my new spiritual BFF, Evinda Lepins).
From here, I'm going to start a new blog post, just because that's what I need to do =)

30 days of Thankfulness ~Day 6
There are quite a few things I can dedicate today to, but I'm taking this opportunity to share my thankfulness for being part of an incredible organization.
One that cares about the kids as much as they do.
One that truly appreciates the volunteerism that is put out to make it all work.
One that focus' on the growth more than the 'win'.
This would be AYSO.
I've been part of AYSO for ohhhh about 10 years now...WOW, that's a long time!
I've seen 3 Regional Commissioners come and go.
I've watched a little tiny soccer league turn into a massive community that has finally made it's name around local towns.
We've gone from oh about a total of 30 teams to who knows how many teams at this point. I know we had close or over 1,000 kids playing this year.
We've gone from a board who made up the whole region to our board being an intricate part of the region and only being about a 10th of the parents.
We've learned what works, and what doesn't work.
We've made Region of The Year, beating about 900 other regions.
We out grew our region this year and had the U16 and above playing over at the High School.
We have grown to be families that really are part of a HUMONGOUS family.
Tonight we had our awards ceremony and I was truly teary eyed being grateful to be part of something that touches so many lives of not only the children, but families. Bringing them/us together with a common interest.
I've made so many great life-long friends, that I've learned so much from!
I'm kinda sad that my position may be eliminated from the board. As busy as I am and how great it would be to free myself up from it, it really makes me sad to think I may not have a position on the board.
I'm proud to be a SOCCER MAMA & part of AYSO Region 641...All that have had a part, have a part and will be coming on. It's a life changing experience that I wish everyone could be a part of!

WHAT!?!?!
You have got to be kidding me! I must be lost in my own world again...
I forgot to blog about Delayna rolling over!
I blogged on the 4th of May about her turning 3 mos, all her little new things, etc. I mentioned that she's about ready to roll over.
Well, the next day when I went to get her out of her crib, she was on her back!
She rolled over!
It's a little old now, but she is so adorable doing it! It's a fight to get her to sleep too. She knows that if she rolls over to her back, I can't pat her butt...Little Stinker!
Anyways...will be back later for more interesting updates...

Yup, and I'm the PROUD Mama
Thursday night Adriana & Anthony had team meetings for soccer.
Adriana's meeting was regarding her spring select team that she is on. Coach Randy was going over a new "award system" he is going to be trying out for the girls. They will get patches for different accomplishments. One is a "Goal Patch". He mentioned that for every goal that a girl makes, she will get a goal patch. He stated that last season, there was a girl on U10 that beat the previous record of 22 goals. This girl made 23 goals all season long and just happened to be on Coach Terry's team. If we had the patches, this girl would have 23 patches that she can wear proudly showing her accomplishment...
You better believe he was talking about Adriana!!!!
As I sat up as the proud mama and demanded that Coach Terry order the patches, Coach Randy asked if it was Adriana. I said, "Yup, and I'm the proud Mama!"
Then as the meeting went on Coach Randy commented that there are only 2 girls on the U10 SS team that are returning. He announced one, which was Kassie, but didn't know the other. Adriana raised her hand and commented that it would be her.
Yeah, she's the bomb!
Saturday Anthony had his second tournament game in San Bernardino. He was able to keep a shut out last week against San Bernardino's 1st place U14 team.
This week we played against Hemet.
I sat on the field, surrounded by the regional commissioner, Darcy (who happens to be a friend of mine) along with about 5 ref's from Beaumont.
While everyone was watching the game (by the way, it was a KICK BUTT GAME!) one of the ref's commented, "Man, that keeper is on it, who is he?"
Darcy answered him, "That's Anthony, he's Melissa's son."
I turned around and said, "Yup, I'm the proud Mama!"
He couldn't give me enough complements on how well he was doing.
Then Debbie & Christian (2 other refs) started talking to me about his talent. We were able to talk about what Anthony wants to do next year (he wants to go play football now) and my own anxieties about it.
They basically really told me how much talent Anthony has and that it would just carry over to his football and eventually, if he wanted to, he could play and succeed at both.
It is one of the most AWESOME feelings for someone to comment and rave about your children's accomplishments. Especially when they are raving about your child, and don't even know that your the mama.

I don't wanna
I have about 50 soccer teams worth of fundraisers that I need to go through, calculate and put into the excel spreadsheet. Ugh, I have A LOT of work in front of me for those cookie dough orders! I just hope we did much better than last week. We are at about half of what we made last year. The financial crunch is definitely hitting the soccer fields too!
I was off today and took advantage of it in my house. I actually got ALL of my laundry done (no, it's not put away, but its clean and folded), my kitchen got a MUCH needed scrub down and I did my grocery shopping.
Which by the way,,, my savings for this week were just about $50! I bought my whole weeks menu, plus some needed hygiene products. I love seeing my savings!!! I even stayed under my self-given budget...WOOHOO!
So, I am done for the day! I am gonna get ready for bed, because my wonderful work week begins in the morning...
Oh, but I do have my bible study I am truly looking forward to!
I must blog about that one day when I have a minute between a minute. We all know how that goes!
