Ok, so life has grabbed ahold of me & I am going every which direction but straight.
Delayna is getting SO big! She now has 4 teeth, YES 4! She is pulling herself up & has been for a while now. She will be walking before I know it. She is very advanced compared to my other kids. She amazes me every day!
Let me see what her new & favorite things are...
She is eating better, loves anything she can chew. Baby food is out of the picture. She doesn't care for the textures, so that's a bit challenging!
Papa, Ant & Grammie are her favorite people. If Jose isn't home by a certain time at night, she's not a happy camper. She loves going into Ant's room and listening to music with him while he does his homework. Grammie takes her and plays with her and attempts to get her to watch t.v. with her, but she's not having it.
We have this little musical piano thing that she LOVES playing with. She is gonna be a music girl. Loves it when we sing to her.
She's still my little nursing champ. Not sleeping through the night yet...GAH!
I can go on all night, but she calls. So until next time...

First Check Up
My little girl had her first physical today. She was scheduled to get her first shots, but we discovered she had a pretty bad ear infection. So we opted out for a couple more weeks.
As of today she is 29 weeks & 1 day old = 6 months, 4 weeks, 1 day
She weighs a whopping 18.4 lbs (90-95%)
Is 27" long (75%)
Has a head circumference of 17.25" (75%)
The Dr said she is pretty well proportioned.
She is sitting unassisted, crawling, standing while holding onto something, cruising furniture, playing by herself and basically above her expected goals.
She is eating lots for fruits, vegis, cereal & yogurt. She's not a big eater though.
Delayna is an extremely happy baby! She adjusts to things fairly easily.
Her sleeping is an issue. Before her ear infection, I was dancing her to sleep to praise & worship music. She loves me to sing to her (glad I'm not the one listening to myself...LOL!) so I do. It's a special time that we have together.
So all is well with my big little girl!
I will be doing some photo shoots soon and will get some pics up.

Moved Up To The Big Girl Room
Well, I got tired of Delayna being in my room. Not in a bad way, I just wanted my room back. So I started Friday afternoon revamping & cleaning Adriana's room to make room for Delayna.
It ended up taking me two day to complete it...My back is killing me & I am completely exhausted, but it's done.
My girls have their room, here are pics...
Looking in from the doorway

Delayna's dresser & Adi's shelves
Little's bed & vanity
Bed, vanity, door & crib
And here she is, sleeping in the 'big girl's room' for the first time
I just hope it all goes well. It was hard on my heart to do it, but I know I can still enjoy her while she makes her transitions ;-)

We have hit a milestone...
With Adriana.
She has been telling me about hair under her arm. I built up enough bravery to look & well,,,She has some hair under her arms that needs to be taken care of.
Then I was in denial. I didn't want to think that my baby girl was going to have to start shaving. But, it was factual & she needs to take care of it before she started to get teased for it. Which she is going to Hurricane Harbor this weekend w/ her school & I couldn't send her with hair under her arms.
So, Yesterday I went to Costco & bought a big thing of the razors that I favor & decided it was time to teach her to shave her underarms.
I don't ever remember my mom teaching me, honestly. I do remember me shaving my arms & legs at a very young age, on my own. So, I honestly didn't even know how to 'teach' her how to do it.
While she was in the shower last night I went in & taught my girl how to shave her underarms. It was so sad to think that my baby girl is growing up. It's exciting, but sad!
Also, yesterday, I took her to Old Navy to buy a bathing suit to go on her trip. We picked out a couple of cute ones from the girls section & went to try them on...
She is too big & we had to go visit the women's section =(
We ended up getting her a zebra print tankini in small from the women's section...She's even getting big with her clothes...
I will get picks up later!
